finding ways to breach the containment of webviews inside of apps has to be one of my favourite pointless hobbies.

    not really, it’s more playing Doom in the minecraft launcher

    but there are people who have played Doom in the game itself tho

      I mean yea, I see that’s a launcher, but it sounds better. How did you do it, btw? Are you running it through some website? (I know that some launchers are kinda just glorified web browsers) Or maybe through scripts? I barely know the basics, so if you can’t explain it simple don’t bother, I won’t get it

        this launcher has a tab for minecraft news, but that tab really justs embeds part of the minecraft website. so, by looking around and clicking on links, it’s possible to go to other pages!

        i don’t remember exactly what i did there, but iirc it involved going through some microsoft help page and from there going on bing. and once you’ve got access to a search engine, you can basically do whatever. here, i just searched “play doom online” or something and ended up on that website!
